For the second year in a row, I was asked to work on Union Settlement Association’s Annual Report. The basic organization of the interior pages are similar to last year’s, but with updates to accommodate for additional text and data. A new cover design and palette were introduced to tie back to a smaller agency brochure, I designed earlier in the year. This year, a two-page timeline, illustrating activities that take place on a typical day at the Union Settlement Association, was also added.

One global legal firm’s property group was looking for a high-impact brochure to highlight their range of experience in transactions of iconic structures, complex financings, and large developments in the real estate sector. Cost was a factor, as well as a brochure that can be easily distributed at events or boardroom meetings. The result was a pocket size, accordion fold brochure with fonts and colors that were selected from the firm’s existing style guide. To highlight each of the areas of expertise, buildings were formed from the descriptions that resulted in a cityscape when looked at from a distance.

The Wildlife Conservation Society was in need of an annual report for 2009. They were looking to update the look while still conforming to existing collateral. With a greater amount of copy and images than previous years, the report needed to be organized in order for readers to navigate the 100-plus page brochure. The resulting color palette came from wildlife imagery and was used to define each chapter. Two page Q&A sections were also introduced throughout.

Employee Microsoft Outlook Guide
A reference guide for employees.

To help employees transition to Microsoft Outlook, the firm needed a reference guide to distribute to its worldwide offices as the application was rolled out. The handy guide, provides an overview, shortcuts and step-by-step instructions for common and some advance features. The card format allows users to quickly flip to their desired section without being overwhelmed with other information. In addition, the binder ring allows for future inserts should updates or additional features need to
be addressed. A blank end page was included to serve as an area for users to jot down their own notes.
